Karl Hughes is the Co-Owner and CEO of The Podcast Consultant, bringing a rare blend of entrepreneurial experience and tech-world perspective to the podcasting industry.
A former CTO at venture-funded startups, Karl co-founded the content marketing agency Draft.dev in 2020, scaling it to $2.5 million in revenue before acquiring The Podcast Consultant in 2023.
Based in Chicago, IL, Karl understands firsthand how subject matter experts can use podcasting to build authority, generate leads, and grow their businesses. He hosts his own podcast, Retained Trust, where he interviews digital agency owners about growth and strategy.
